How to Print a Document

Pre-Production:
When first starting out on this project, our team took pictures to help guide us through the storyboard that we drew out. Using the stills, we determined what shots would be necessary for the video. Andrew was our actor in the scripts while Rose, Asya, and I helped with the filming. The library was our designated spot for the video. Everyone was involved with the creative process and contributed to the story line

Production: We were the first group ready to start filming so nobody else could interrupt us. I was a filmer particularly in this video. Having this position taught me several things. For example setting up a tripod was one of the biggest challenges. You have to make sure it is balanced and straight while also producing smooth panning. This allowed us to not have to hold the iPad and shake the camera. I also learned you have to leave room before and after shots so you can trim them in editing. We had to redo a couple of scenes due to this. Another reason we had to retake one scene was because another group was in the background. A language arts class was in the library when we were filming but it made it seem like a more realistic environment.

Post-Production:
Using Adobe Premiere Pro we were able to edit our videos. First we trimmed the videos to allow the final production to be around 30 seconds. After ordering all the videos chronologically, we deleted the sound and went to a loyalty free music site to choose our music. Finally, we added a title and a fade out for the music to make it professional.

Conclusion:
If I could do something different in this project, I would make the video be longer to allow the library doors to fully open and close. If I could do something the same it would be time management. Being the first group ready to start filming allowed us to retake shots and keep the same lighting or clothing. In my next project, I will have less retakes since I know the rules for photography. During this challenge, our team used technical skills, communication, leadership, collaboration, and project management. Overall this was a great learning experience and I will use the skills I learned in my future.
